There’s no such thing as an “income partner” in the US. There are equity partners and managing directors.
They definitely should not be referring to an MD role as an income partner.
Get ready for the bait and switch. You are interviewing for a role as a glorified senior manager with no path to partner (very rarely happens) where equity partners delegate work to you but you will have the same metrics as a partner to meet. Congratulations.

Based in what country?
Sorry, should’ve mentioned that. In the US.
That terminology is odd. We don't use that at EY. I'm guessing the HR person means an equity partner/principal, not an MD. Consult the FT. There have been pieces in the last year that gave ranges.
Very different profiles in equity Partner (Principal) and Managing Director.
How so P1? What do you perceive as the differences between the two roles?
Profiles as in compensation schema and associated liabilities. But there are also different expectations around sales and revenue.
