Does anyone have any information on Acumen Solutions? Have a third round interview there for an architect role and I was wondering what people thought. The benefits are meh but the total compensation would be way higher.
I interviewed for my dream role with an aviation startup in Santa Cruz, CA in Feb of 2020. They told me to look for apartments and I had inside info from a friend I was getting the job. As I was getting on the plane back to Stl, I got an alert about covid being found in Santa Cruz. Two weeks later the company basically shutdown for six months. I never got a call from HR. I know it’s a startup, but does HR usually take this long for an offer letter? Don’t want to seem too pushy towards them.

When a recruiter turns you down for a freelance gig because they need someone with "no more than 6-10 years of experience," that's code for "you're too old." Correct? Just confirming.

I know I am very lucky to be in this position especially during these COVID times, but looking for genuine thoughts on leaving a comfortable, secure job for a role at a coveted, yet smaller agency. In any other year I think this would be a no brainer, but the thought of leaving a stable job and starting a new one remotely is awfully daunting.
