Been a great year for games. What was your fave?
If you are thinking of starting a law practice or growing one with little or no capital, you need to get the book, “Starting & Growing a Law Practice without Breaking the Bank.
It was written based on personal experience and research. I started my practice 11 years ago in the middle of the 2008/2009 recession with about $500 and I have grown the practice significantly over the years using affordable and available resources.
I also coach solo practitioners and small firm attorneys. https://www.amazon.com/Starting-Growing-Practice-Without-Breaking/dp/1099523303

If you work at Moss Adams and you don't get raises every year, come over here and we'll split that fine referral bonus. Our salaries are already above Big4 and we have those sweet sweet overnight bonuses.
I'm just saying that it doesn't happen like that in practice even though it makes sense theoretically. Although I'd also argue that people coming out of smaller firms are more proficient at more things because they're exposed earlier due to staffing constraints. While your audits are for larger clients, it could mean getting stuck doing one type of testing, whereas here you're performing a smaller audit but you end up covering more areas
^Cause staff would quit.
The place you go when you want to be paid more and worked less 😂
All your raises will be based on your performance and the service line you are in.
Hi OP- folks that get a needs improvement on their evaluation are not eligible for raises (or promotions or bonuses). If you are in your first year, you probably got developing which is eligible for a raise. But if this is your very first talent review, I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. I did get a raise during the last July talent review after being there for 9 months, but believe me, it was NOT impressive.
If the industry is asking for people with Big 4 experience, then yes, it's very worth it. I'm not saying that people from mid tiers can't get those opportunities, but having Big 4 on your resume will get you more of them. Obviously potential employers see that value in hiring a B4 professional otherwise they wouldn't even say B4 experience preferred in the first place...
Well since I do external HR hiring audits at some very large industry clients, I'll tell you they can say whatever they want on the ad, they don't actually care as long as the experience makes sense. Even then they don't care if you're likable.
There's almost never going to be a case that similar, but in walkthroughs, the questions the majority of the time go "I see you interviewed 5 people for this position but didn't choose the most experienced/qualified person. Why?" "We felt such and such was a better fit for our team and would take on the time to train them"
EY 1 is an elitist
I don't know why we have a crowe and EY shitting all over this thread....So back to the original question. Your first year bonus if any is likely marginal. @ch we get overnight bonuses real time not quarterly.
First review, been with MA barely 3 months (a few days from the cutoff date) received a very healthy raise.
It was last year.
Lol pwc1 you used to work at moss Adams?
@PWC1 I'm in audit
PwC2, Moss Adams or any company give out the raises that way. It's not like 1 rated person gets the same raise as a 5 rated person. And raises are based on the revenue make by the service line. Whoever is from Moss Adams won't be able to answer OP's question with that little info
Yah but how do you know that moss Adams doesn't have a policy of giving raises for first year. That raises usually don't begin until after year 1?
You don't know that. They may give higher than normal bonuses or pay overall could be above market.
Y'all are missing my point unless you work at moss Adams or worked at moss Adams you don't know the answer to that question.
Wtf is an overnight bonus?
