When I started my current job, I felt this way. I was not that considered in meetings, and I was assigned a lot of work in which I had to show myself on the company's social networks (at that time, I was a community manager). Gradually I was valued more for my work and became a vital part of the team until I was promoted.

Yes and then they forced me to lead the DE&I team on top of my bandwidth being so stretched thin.

Yes predominantly white agency. No Black hired in probably a decade. I’ve even brought up unconscious bias in hiring practices and everyone in leadership is white/white passing.

100%. i tried to make the switch to small agencies when the big agencies started falling off early-pandemic. felt like a diversity hire at them. even though i was plenty qualified, the projects i seemed to be staffed on had clients of color.
went in-house to a company with great diversity and inclusion programs.
Yes. And I made sure to make them pay me for it too.
