No we hate it when you guys come and try to make our state blue
EY10, I would encourage you to read some more history books on this subject. The argument you are using is literally the exact same argument like verbatim that was used to engage in the mass genocide of native Americans and other peoples. Timeframes matter…Hunter gathers had settled there for thousands of years before Europeans ever knew it even existed. Europeans didn’t have an inherent moral right over it just because they had advanced farming concepts. You could say they have a “survival of the fittest” right to it, which is obviously self-evident. However, if you want to use that as your argument, you are in company with the Nazis. They also used that argument…frequently.
We actually view those places as run down, homeless, overly inflated, tax-ridden and poorly managed states.
EY 3. I would argue that California does not have a functional grid. Rolling blackouts are quite common
What?
You don't actually know ANYTHING about Texas do you...
As a Texan who now lives elsewhere, you sound like a dick 😂.
Have you even actually been to anywhere in Texas, other than an airport or convention center? There's a lot to be said for the many Texan communities and cultures. You just have to have an open mind for it to look a little different.
Yes Texans LOVE it when you move there & look down on them 🥰
I’ve lived in NY, DC & Texas….. No….

To answer the original question- As a Texan, I definitely do not view New Yorkers or Californians as trendy or classy. This is my general perception:
Californians I've known are either very similar to Texans, or completely off the rails (naked healing retreats in the mountains). They generally seem to have beach vibes, never known dressy/ classy Californians.
New Yorkers I find extremely rude with their communication style. They often try to appear more wealthy than they are, while I would rather you think I'm poorer than I am. If someone wore high fashion here they'd look extremely out of place (and possibly die of heat stroke)
Not at all.
Why on earth anyone would move to Texas where they condescend to anyone who isn’t white, they don’t believe in science, they can’t keep the power going, you don’t have any productive rights, and life is lived mostly in shopping malls is beyond me. My friend was a successful analyst in NYC and Chicago. Her firm transferred her to Texas and they refer to her as ‘the girl’. SMH.
Lived there for a year. I’d say… No.
The Texan (or at least Dallas) nightlife scene is just overgrown frat bros strutting around in vineyard vine and sperry’s. In the office, they just talk over you because they love hearing themselves talk.
They probably don’t admire the bicoastals, because in their head they’re better than everyone else but for no good reason.
Texans are more likely to think coastal folks are pompous and unkind than anything else.
