I've been trying to update my resume with my last 5 years of experience and I'm completely overwhelmed. At this point I just need to hire a resume writer. I need someone who can talk to me about my experience and actually write the resume, not just edit an existing resume. Does anyone have a recommendation? Is ResumeSpice worth the money?

Vision 2020 for EY is rarely brought up anymore by leadership as it was a strategic plan with out of touch lofty ambitions. I drank the kool-aid till reality set in. Now I just want to be paid at a competitive rate.
I have been here almost a decade as well. It is different than when i started and surely is not as collaborative. It is still a great firm but the teaming culture and focus on the right projects has changed to all about dollars and bodies. As a result we are losing great people.
Great things to be seeing while being in the latter stages of interviewing 😫
Please post something nice. About to get offer!
No matter where ever great people go.. everywhere its dollars ! Whats new here?
^^ i was about to say that. It will be difficult working with SM1
I interviewed too
No. Next?
Ditto K1 😩
Why this sudden cry among EY folks. I thought most firms are doing the same. lot of folks are leaving KPMG too! Our pay sucks as well. At least mine. Last year they didn't give bonus to anyone except for their inner circle.
Wait consulting is about the money? Holy crap!
Also regarding the "losing great people" argument. When in the history of consulting/advisory has the retention rate ever really exceeded 2-3 years on average? The structure of the firms is literally a pyramid. With an up or out environment in a pyramid shaped organization, people leaving is the natural order of things.
Thanks for the insights SM1.
EY culture allows some bench/down time, seen a few firms cut the bottom out but only seen that at EY when there was a clear pattern. A few direct admit partners are the main reason I've seen any change but limited so try and avoid .
Do I like losing people? No, of course not. I also know that this firm is a great place to work and we're still overall a people first organization. People do leave; however, I have not seen any sort of mass exodus as a result of any company strategy. If anything people leaving are part of the natural order of the company. It's the nature of our business (all consulting firms). Unless your plan is PPED this is not a career job, it's a stepping stone. Sorry if you had illusions otherwise.
Sorry EY8. I do Feel our leadership is failing certain segments of the firm.
Everything is about revenue these days. It's rare for ppeds to care about people before dollars these days.
If you want to grow fast in your career join EY but if you want to make good money , do interesting work and grow 20-30% slower that EY, join D or PWC
I really like it at EY. Feel supported by leadership, feel like my ideas are respected, and feel like people do care about work life balance. Granted I know not everyone has had the same experience, and I feel like I have taken a good amount of initiative in terms of getting to know PPEDs and senior managers in order to get to this point. But it may vary by service line / counseling family / region. I'm a Staff 2 in ACP aligned with PI Finance.
Why is vision 2020 destroying culture?
EY8 whats the PAS team? Also how are externally hired SMs screwing up engagement? Can you share some examples?
SM1 - 10 years with firm? So you must be one of the cool aid drinkers.
