I am a new grad who is working in tech as a marketing analyst I’m looking to pivot to marketing& sales data science consulting next year. Thinking about accepting a software engineering offer for BCG Digital Ventures . can anyone working there tell me about the work culture, learning opportunities, and exit opps . Im also interviewing with Zillow and am deciding wether to wait or take an offer. I’m really intrigued by the idea of building ventures and learning alot on the technical and entrepreneurial sides, but the opportunity to work for a tech unicorn is also very intriguing

McKinsey & Company Hi all! Any fishes at BCG and/or McK have time to chat sometime within the next few days/weeks?
I’m a consulting analyst at Accenture, really interested in strategy work (mainly tech/software clients but open to all backgrounds) hoping to make the jump some time next year. I’d very much appreciate connecting to understand your journey with the firms and the work you do.
Thanks in advance, and happy holidays!

While it can be a hard field to break into, I will say you’d be hard pressed to find a more interesting and rewarding job. There’s a reason why the attrition rate of intelligence professionals leaving the field is ridiculously low — the work and the people are incredible.
Any former IC analysts who've considered going back?
There are some really cool missions that you can be a part of and you get to work around some very smart and focused people.
Down side is all the negatives that come with working in a SCIF. No windows, no work from home, no personal devices, some missions are 24/7 so shift work, foreign travel restrictions, lots of annual oversight training.
I wouldn't mind going back, but I wouldn't want to do it long term.
Hi! Intel analyst... from BAH haha.
1.) Wide range depending on speciality and skills — I started at 70k (rather high for a starting analyst) and have seen high 100’s for seasoned analysts.
2.) No, but it definitely helps for certain clients.
3.) SAIC, CACI, Leidos, Noblis, Centra, etc. — however, BAH is widely considered the top firm in the private sector intel space.
4.) It’s rather complicated because it’s such a niche area, therefore it’s case-by-case depending on the intel speciality — happy to talk offline about it (DM me).
Centra
I do at Deloitte but the work streams here are still small. You need a TS coming in at the minimum and preferably military intelligence experience at the officer (O5 up) level.
@D2 - no clearance - this would also be a new role for me
I built tools for Intel analysts and linguists and some are the most tech inept people I've ever met.
A fair amount of the older intel analysts (especially those coming from a military background) are very tech inept — but there’s also some who are tech gods.
Deloitte does it, but many of the contracts are handed out to minority contractors, so we are the sub on lots of them.
BAH has way more contracts in the IC space. Intel analysts can mean many things and changes from agency to agency. For example, it could be language work, network building, or compiling reports.
