Is it really that difficult to get hired for a federal job? I was interviewed for a GS12 job but never heard back, they still didn’t hire anyone and I didn’t get a rejection. I applied for another GS07 job, was accepted, I took it, but I believe I can do better. I have a master’s and have extra graduate research experience. I am still applying to new jobs but I was told it is impossible to move up the grade level now. Everyone is telling me to stick with the government. What are your thoughts?

Last week I had an interview with Infosys, it didn't go well as per my expectations but i was able to answer most of the questions asked by the panel and they said I will get the feedback from HR team but it's been more than one week and I didn't get any update on this. Yesterday I also wrote an email to the HR who scheduled the interview but still no update.

I have cleared interview with Wipro a month ago and after 15 days I received a simple mail from HR saying you are selected.

Since that day, there is no communication from HR team of Wipro . I tired of sending multiple emails and when I tried to call he always declines my call.

Between director of respected technology is reaching me and he wants me to join ASAP and take over the project work.

I left my old job the end of January (due to compensation) and hate my new job. I don’t sleep and am constantly stressed. I have been interviewing since May, but I can’t seem to find a good fit that has an insurance Plan that fits my needs. Got hired 3 years ago- newly created staff accountant role with the plan that it’ll go into a senior and then manager role. 1.5 years in I get a title promotion to senior, told I’ll get more duties, start supervising AP, and get monetary promotion to match next year. Got way more work, but nothing else promised within that year. Told next money bump would be manager role (no raise for senior still) and I need to take on more and start supervising AP. Again, seeing nothing…time to leave?
