Two months ago, I was fired for my performance and I feel worthless and depressed. I’ve had interviews but no offers. I’m also anxious that when I get a job, it will happen again.

Would you let go? I have struggled in the US for 10 yrs, battled through O1 and 3 layoffs, finally my current company submitted PERM last yr. Then this yr, my dad became extremely ill with stg. 4 cancer. Imagine a lighthouse in a storm. That’s my dad to me. Now I have to choose: back in the US, the lonely life but (comparatively) great income, or stay to spend the definite time with my dad, let go of the “American Dream” and re-build my life after my dad’s decease. Which would you let go?

Is it normal to bill 8 hours a day… but not actually work 8 hours a day? I get all my tasks done, my projects are delivered successfully and on time, but I usually get my work done in less than 8 hours, but I always put 40 hours on my timesheets. Can anyone relate?

I just received an offer within the industry and I'm excited to join. That said, they have come in at the bottom of my range (I said $320k when I started talking with them in December, and upgraded that to $350k based on market movements since then) I'm particularly bothered by the clawback on my bonus payments until my LTIP kicks in.
