Any advice as to where to apply for healthcare admin jobs in the Bay Area or Central valley. Looking to go into healthcare consulting as well. Follow up post to my last post…My husband was laid off from the company where I also work. I am feeling really isolated / depressed about working and moving forward. I’m also getting to a stage where I’m really sad that people haven’t reached out to either my husband or myself to send well wishes or provide support. Hi all I got an offer with UST, YOE 5.6, CTC provided by the company is 14.2 and 5% variable pay so fixed is 13.5 how much I can expect take home, is it less for the experience I have or fair enough. I’m from cloud background

I’ve been working for my State Farm agency as a team member for 2 years. I am licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, but only make $13 an hour. I technically can make bonuses but I’m not supposed to dig into a sale and I have to send it to a sales rep (I am service and retention mostly). My boss also has me running a retired agents office until a new one is chosen (its an hour away with no pay increase or mileage pay). Also, no benefits! Should I start job searching?

I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. I was hoping for an offer closer to 90k base and I don’t care too much for a sign on bonus. However, this is a lot more than what I’m making now, and would be my first SWE job. Should I counter? For McKinsey PEI (power round), should my stories be around 5-6 minutes containing a good level of detail, or really generic (~2 minutes) and just let the interviewers ask me questions on what they feel are most important to them? I’m really eager to present the details because I think these are elements that can show my fit with the company well, but am hearing some people say that >2 mins people get lost. But some details are important to provide background (industry specific)…

Best consulting firms without the massive ego?

Friend’s company wants to fly them out for 2 weeks for a project without paying for their flight home during the weekend in between. This is ridiculous, right? I feel like this is absurdly unreasonable, esp given the additional hotel stays would add up to a similar cost of another round trip flight anyway

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
