Does sick day factor into effective utilization?

I sometimes find it odd how misunderstood utilization is. Yes, sick days factor into effective utilization. They positively affect it as the denominator in the calculation is reduced by the sick hours taken. For example, I was sick two days last week and charged 24 hours. My effective utilization for the week was 100% (24/24). My full utilization was 60% (24/40).

EY5 must be office to office. I’ve never been involved in a conversation where full utilization was the metric used. IMO Effective is a much more appropriate measure of productivity give that it accounts for sick days, etc.

Yes. Any time you’re not chargeable negatively affects utilization

Agree with EY3. Black and purple are “good” and green is “bad” for utilization

Effective utilization is really a throw away measurement - I have never been involved in a conversation where full wasn’t the metric used.

After being through the coronavirus, I thought I am good both physically and financially. But I was beat to the ground when I got my medical bills. Our EY medical plan only waives the fees for testing (the prescreening process before the test is not covered as well).... Geeze... come on, other big 4 cover all expenses related to covid. And even UnitedHealthCare waives all fees for all fully funded plans...

So sick of working hard to please the people above me and in turn they couldn’t care less about me or my wellbeing. Once busy season is over, I’m out. Can’t do another busy season.

Looking at getting LASIK done and just interested in any experiences / advice / things you would’ve liked to have known? For context, I’m 27, healthy eyes, about -2 vision which I wear glasses for (contacts just do not agree with my eyes), rationale for LASIK is because I’m very athletic and I can’t work with contacts! Also figure now is a good age to do so. Disclaimer: obviously plan on 100% following medical professional guidance, but any input appreciated ! ❤️

Whatever happens with our IAAS salary raises/PBB, I'm hoping our PPMDs remain transparent and clear on what the final decision is and why. Especially when reconciling the final outcome with how we absolutely crushed FY20 plan revenue. We worked too many long hours this year to expect anything less than clear communication and fair explanations, once they come.
