Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Yep, you're saying that your last day is in 2 weeks. Just a tip, I generally advise that people take a break in between jobs, if possible, to be well rested and mentally refreshed for the new role. At least a long weekend if you can't take more. You may not be able to change your start date at the new job at this point, but keep that in mind for the future.
We have a tendency to underestimate the energy it takes to wrap up a job. Then we underestimate the energy it takes to establish new relationships, learn a new job, etc. A little refresh in between is a good thing.
i don’t think many companies let the recruiter decide that over the hiring manager
sounds unique to GT or ur situation
2 weeks at current firm. If you are leaving BDO in 2 Fridays,, you tell them on Friday
Just email at 11:59. Set a delayed send. Friday is Friday
It doesn’t matter. 2 weeks is about having the time to appropriately reassign responsibilities before you are gone and close out your work. That one day won’t matter to anyone.
I had the same q. I just let them know my last day 3 weeks in advance, and left on the day I said I would. I still worked the first week and the next two were just me passing on items to my team. Very chill 2 weeks.
