Most companies require you the be employed there for 1 year before you qualify for maternity leave. 😞 I’d start looking while you’re on leave and can do interviews without having to worry about your work schedule. I did this when I was on maternity leave several years ago.
I would not want to negotiate around that point, not would I want to ask to push my start date until the end of your EY leave. Your ideal situation is to find a job towards the end of your leave (don’t forget to use your unlimited PTO to extend two weeks!) and give notice on your first day back.
Does Deloitte still offer second year tuition reimbursement for a returning intern who’s attending their MBA program on a full tuition scholarship? Thanks!
Planning to move to Deloitte in next couple of months. Can any of you please help me with the parental leave policy? How much is it and can you take it within 6 months or so of joining ?
Coach
I would wait.

Exactly, and this includes EY, you have to be there one year before you qualify for maternity benefits.

Definitely wait. I took the leave and think it really was great for me and the baby.
In the same boat. Waiting it out. Also, it's 4 months!
Please wait . Most companies cannot match EY here and even if they can they would ask one year of employment
Fwiw we don’t have any cliff here for parental leave.
