It's not like the marriage is terrible or unhealthy, but they would take an out if not for having had the kids.

Salam. 23M here - all my life I’ve had my back on our faith - never really prayed but had imaan (I guess). After bouts of depression from girl problems (🙄), issues within immediate family, being disappointed expectations I had for myself, etc. I’ve been working on bettering my situation over the years. How normal is it to be pulled off a trial team because you tell your boss you are moving after trial? I have a trial coming up first week of Oct. This case has been my baby, and I’m going to try it with my boss. I tell my boss up front that, for family reasons, I’ve gotten a new job and will be moving to another city two weeks after trial will likely end. He then gives my trial witnesses to another attorney, but is still going to make me do grunt work. Is he unreasonable or am I?

I feel somewhat disgusted when my coworkers or managers tried to “build rapport” with me.
I understand the value of doing so, but my repulsion inevitably showed through my apparent desire to end small talks as soon as possible.

Hey family-Has anyone gone with a pediatrician who didn’t have hospital rights to do the exam at birth?
Context: first baby, high risk pregnancy (blood pressure), in northern Dallas suburbs but delivering in Dallas proper; strongly prefer a doctor of the diaspora (my OB is black; we want our son to see black excellence all around), but those in the suburbs tend not to have rights in hospitals in Dallas proper

Any of the sisters deal with gestational diabetes but already had a restrictive diet pre and during pregnancy?
Doctor says I have it, but I honestly don’t believe them. I don’t eat cane sugar (not even in sauces), gluten, dairy, or soy. So not surprised I couldn’t process their drink-I don’t consume stuff like that regularly. I walk a mile or do HIIT training 5x/ week. The condition doesn’t run in my family (and my mom has 4 sisters w/kids-good sample size) (cont’d in comments)

My 5 year old son demanded a haircut because he doesnt like his curly hair. Its too curly. He wants hair thats like Fletcher's. (Fletcher is his white friend from day care). My son and his sister are the only blacks at the day care. I dont know how to broach the subject with him.
