Tips for 6-month eval? Originally hired at 35K as assistant and was told if I performed well, I could expect to make 50K after a year. After one week, the operations manager resigned and I took over as a trial. Officially am operations manager, but no title (only verbal) and no raise. Owner likes benefits over big pay raises. I have 7 plus experience in c++. I am trying new job within Chennai location but I am getting 1 or 2 interview calls for a month. I know c++ is old language and openings are very less and competitor people also less.
Shall learn new courses like AWS... its totally different from my experience I am not sure it will help to my career.

FDD 🐠 I will be promoted to audit SM in October, however looking to transfer to the FDD practice. Based on discussions with partners in the practice, I would be brought in as an experienced manager with opportunity to promote to senior manager in FDD next year. Is the learning curve steep, or should I push to come in as SM? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
