Where was the job?
Where are you looking?
PM me. I’m hiring.
I’m so sorry. It sucks. It might hurt for a long time and the worst thing you can do is go over and over in your head. It might not have been the perfect job anyway, we look at things with rose tinted lenses when we want them badly. Have a cry/ rage run/ zoom with friends then sleep on it. Give yourself a break from applying as long you can stand it, then go again. You got this.
Hang in there. The right thing will come along.
And that’s ok. You’re only human. Take a day or two for some self-care and hop back into it. Like you said, “the right thing IS out there.”
When I was in your situation I realized that trying to find work in this industry and working in this industry (especially at a time like this) is like high intensity interval exercises. High effort in short bursts followed by a crash/rest.
Take a day or two to rest and take care of yourself and line yourself up to go at it again.
Persistence and networking is key, timing and luck help too. Know this is temporary, keep it up, you’ll land something wonderful and totally deserve it.
Ugh I’m sorry, that’s a shitty feeling. Hang in there! And LMK where you’re looking, my agency is hiring for ADs right now too!
Their loss! Forget about them, you’ll find something better, it wasn’t to be.
I feel the exact same way. Hang in there. Take it day by day. Something will come up- be hopeful!
If you are able to be selective on the roles you apply to pick ones you really want so time, effort, emotional up and downs will be worth it no matter the outcome
