V10 here - no billable requirement at all and 4 weeks paid vacation (5 for seniors) that is generally very respected for juniors. Less so for seniors simply because they're too integral to deals.

No worries, thanks for the insight!

Unlimited time off. I take at least 5 weeks off each year with days here and there throughout the year.

like

Do most people take about 5 weeks off there? What firm is this and how many hours do associates average for billables?

I take every vacation day I have available to me, and we are explicitly told to do so. I also have no partnership intentions so I basically put phone notification off and only respond if I need to forward something

like

Thanks. How many hours is typical for junior/‘mid level associates and what firm is this?

How long is too long to try to push back a start date? Getting a formal offer early next week but trying to keep that big law bonus if possible. Firm pays out bonuses Dec 30 & I have a vacation scheduled Dec 19-23 (and was planning on working remotely the week after too). Ideally want to get EOY bonus or negotiate for a signing bonus but is it too much to push for signing bonus and those weeks off? I'm open to working remotely those two weeks but know that may not be the best when I start.

My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.
