Hi - I have donations given to Team Everest for Nov 2021 with receipt. But IBM AskHR says no support for donations tax exemption on Form 16. Thus, the donation isn't deducted on my Form 16. Can I now update the donation directly on E-filing.gov u/s 80G for exemption or will that cause an issue ? IBM
Sad but true

I can only speak to going in-house into claims, so YMMV if you’re going into the company’s legal department. I went in after 3 years. I would say on average most people coming in have around 5 years. Usually they’re associates coming in from ID firms.
The culture at my company is great. Job is just as intellectually challenging/stimulating as being an associate attorney, if not more so as you are more involved in litigation/resolution strategy than your typical associate attorney at an ID firm might be.
Salary is generally competitive to associate positions at ID firms despite being expected to work far less (40 hours a week, no billables. And in my experience the benefits are much better in house (401k matching, better health plans, PTO, etc.).
Same.
I worked gov pub defender for 6 months; ID firm 6 months; just went in house with 1 year exp.
I loved my firm; but working 40 a week with 401k match is clutch.
I had 10 years in the legal field but none in insurance. Similar goals. Sometimes the bureaucracy sucks. The hours can for sure be more than you expect, but no billable hours, decent benefits, good pay and stable/dependable work.
