I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Going to startup was a gamble. It paid off for most of my friends but a few were not so fortunate. They exited into middle level management jobs or internal consulting roles in large corporations.
Wow ok
Very worth it. From my friend group, 5 people have Series A and beyond startups and several have had life changing exits.
About half did not make it / wound down companies in first 3 years post mba. They got more senior roles at companies than they would have received if they didn’t do the startup.
Those who founded startups were much better off than those who joined them
Thank you for the insight
I’m far from Harvard/Stanford but after my MBA I went to a startup it it’s been the best place I’ve ever worked. I’ll say I was really lucky to land at a place that values its employees as much as it does but I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to a Fortune 500.
