If you have cash that you want to invest. Please consider Treasury Series I Savings Bond (Electronic). Interest is 7.12% right now. While it's not guaranteed that the 7.12% will remain until next year, it's still a good deal.
My SO and I just invested 20k (10k max per person even married).

Firstly I'm sorry to hear that. Rejections always suck especially for getting so close to the dream role.
My advice is to take your time to recover from what I'm sure was a lot of stress and don't give up applying to more dream Jonah
That's being said, and I'll be honest here where most people might not:
I wouldn't hold my breathe for the "maintaining communication for more opportunities". If you get another good offer, don't wait in this one
Thanks for your honesty and assurance here. I studied countless hours for the previous 3 round, and genuinely enjoyed studying for it. But now I'm just devastated from this outcome. I'm going to take a week to just recover from this, but will definitely have to move on and hope back on the application process to find another role.
This happened to me too. I was 1 of 2 finalists for my dream job at my dream company and I was the runner up. The company ended up inviting me to interview again but the second time the role just wasn’t the right fit and it just felt like a double sting. I do think it is worth stating your interest to be considered again, but at the same time continue to apply to other companies too. You may find something even better.
I know how it feels. I am really sorry you are in this position. I hope you find something even better!
For the most part, I agree with SBA1.
That said, after I got rejected in a similar situation, I reached out to each of the interviewers + hiring manager with a quick thank you note.
Told the hiring manager I was still interested in the company and would like to be considered for future roles if there was something they thought would be a better fit.
Couple weeks later, got a call and was offered a similar role after an accelerated interview process.
Overall, I think I was very lucky. I wouldn’t expect that outcome, but sometimes it does happen - and if it’s really a dream company, the bit of time it takes to write and send a couples notes is time well spent.
Sounds like a good idea to me.
