Freelancer dilemma. In a 3 mo contract with a small indie; great people & clients; a LOT of work. They’re open to part-time + extension (~5 months), which suits me as I have a 2YO. I’ve also passed final stage for a top-tier agency, starting in ~3 weeks. If I take it, I’d do a short intense stint then take time off. Question: career signal or flexibility/lifestyle? And reputationally, is leaving a freelance contract early (with proper handover) acceptable?

Is it normal to feel numb around the holidays? I'm tired, dealing with seasonal affective disorder and a really tough caseload right now. So i work at this company in coimbatore (india) and we have a very poor work life balance. We have a 6 day working policy and no vacation or sick leaves just 1 day casual leave a month. We usualy had to work around 10 to 12 hrs and no leaves even during govt holidays. How can i make them understand this is killing our personal life. How does contract to hire work? If I’m offered $37/hr on w2 for 3 months and then possibly a permanent position, how much can I expect to get annually as a full time company employee as a BI data analyst II? I have a M.S. and certificates in DA but this will be my first job as DA.
I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.
