Have you through about going freelance? I struggle with a bit of stress between jobs (“will I ever be hired again?” Type of stress. But I always find another job.) I mean last year wasn’t great but I still ended up getting a good job the last few months the of the year and worked here and there over the spring summer. I like being able to take and extra week or two off and then when I get a job I’m very motivated for it. I also find it easier to work hard when I see an end in sight. Even if it’s months, I find I’ll put up with long days and weekend for extended periods of time when I k ow it will be over eventually. You kind of have to be ok with being the bitch sometimes (getting kind of crummy projects) and possibly not making what you sell. That’s not always the case! But it happens.
Thanks for posting this, OP. Think a lot of us actually needed to hear how others are burned out. My team is moving at a breakneck speed, and I feel bad at my job for not being able to or even wanting to keep up.
I’m in the same exact boat. The two week winter break was everything I needed. It recharged me, but I was immediately drained when I started work again. I’m relapsing heavily in my depression right now after the 8th day back at work and I want to quit my job so bad right now
Are you me? I want to do the same too
I feel the same too.
Yep. Remember health comes first. See if you can get work leave first to buy you some time.

You are not alone, and I have taken lower-stress positions to alleviate stress and mental health trigger points.
Do what feels right — if you have the time and financial freedom to take time off, it can be a really beneficial move, on a creative and personal level.

Wow! I just want to say you're not alone because I feel the same. And I barely had the week after Christmas off. Considering quitting my job, too.
Also have been considering this. This is maybe even more casual than you’re thinking, but am having my friend teach me remote customer service software for this very reason. Not the best money, but pretty chill for a temporary thing.
Feel that. It’s so hard to do anything creative in this atmosphere.
