Has anybody had any experience working for a tech company? Would that be a path worth exploring in the supply chain world?

I know they get a bad rap but Amazon actually pays their logistics people pretty well, especially if you can advance to a more experienced position. My brother works there right now and he's not hurtin too bad for cash

I once worked in Tech support and logistics and having that tech background works pretty well in supply chain industry. Well, at least it works well for me. It was easier for me to evaluate data necessary for the job. Tech overall is a very good start.

Absolutely! it's such a lucrative career. One of my friends is a supply chain engineer at Google and he has complete flexibility with his schedule and only has to go to the office when he wants

If you’re interested in tech and supply chain, keep in mind you don’t have to join a “tech company” to do this. There are so many regular companies that sell a product or have warehouses and need data scientists/data analysts or solve their supply chain related problems

Hi, I have a couple of possible opportunities moving forward in my career. Currently I am an administrative coordinator at a university handling a specific area with a helping hand in multiple others. The other pending slight possibility is a assistant property management. I would appreciate feedback on the different career paths

Hi! I’m Head of Insights at an agency in London. I built a team of 4 and oversee and train junior and mid-level insights analysts. I’ve been told that I’ll be promoted to Director next year but I might need to move to NYC because of my husband’s job. I’m a bit worried about finding a job similar to the one that I have now in NYC, especially because I’m Latin and I know how competitive New York can be. Any thoughts and recommendations?

I'm not hung up on PE/buy side exits, not closed off but nbd. Would be just as happy to stay and make MD (or exit into corp dev if I want an easier life when I'm older)

My dilemma:

I'm at a LMM investment bank. Can get crazy sometimes, but otherwise chill. Typically done around 7-9 pm, had maybe three 1 am nights. Haven't worked a weekend in over a month. Fridays almost always done at 5 pm.

Have an offer at a reputable MM bank but probably pretty sweaty. Worth the move?
