If all else equal, HR dragging feet is not really going to ever affect you again, and if you got along with people at D, that plus the money is worth it.
However, if you think PwC is a better fit, 9k (ignoring sign on) isn’t end of the world imo. I would rather enjoy my work/coworkers than get paid marginally better.
We have a two week close at my current job. They are in manufacturing so the plants have a week to close and then corporate accounting can close. For two weeks out of every month, you do the same thing over and over again. PTO won't get approved during that time either, unless its only for a day or two.
I kept it entertaining by optimizing all aspects of my job which freed up my time for some ad-hoc projects (ERP implementation stuff) and that was fun, but that has died off.
Not sure about CMAAS but I can offer what I know about Deloitte ARA. As far as I understand, ARA is under Audit and Assurance at Deloitte. That means there’s a possibility that you’ll be pulled to assist an audit if there’re not many ARA projects going on and audit teams are drowning. The group is quite new and for now, targets smaller projects. That being said, because it’s new, there’s def growth potentials and opportunities for you to involve in growing the business and make it to PPMD if that’s your goal.
The getting audit work was in the early days of the accounting advisory groups, I think. Now that they are more established and clearly divided from audit, they only do advisory work

I’m currently in industry making 105k as an accounting supervisor for a private company in the ag space. Industry is always there if you want more money to be honest.
Why not ask pwc if they’re willing to match that offer
Recruiter said they couldnt go higher on base due to cohort model, which I understand. I would go back again, but not sure how that would reflect.

I just started CMAAS interview process as experienced staff, should I apply to Deloitte or EY’s advisory too to try to negotiate offers if I get that far?
