I joined KGS in feb 2022, we recently got a mail regarding timeline of appraisal and bonus payout from the partner. My reporting manager hasn't yet reached out to me regarding goal setting, not sure if that happens here. Can you pls help me to know what all things we need to do from our end for the appraisal cycle and bonus payout? Since I'm new to this company KPMG KPMG India

I have. I was told I was passed up for a promotion because there was a Hispanic female and they thought it would look really good to have her as a manager to “show you can do anything if you work hard”. Turns out she frauded the company and upper management apologized to ME for how they handled it
I'm guessing you still work there? If so why didn't raise a grievance? Have you been promoted since?
I do not. When they told me they wanted to meet a quota I left companies because I knew I would be passed up in the future.
Ok, that's understandable
Everyone's experience is different. Having worked supporting client HR groups, I can say that some companies use DEI as a means to differentiate between different resources for positions, and sometimes the lesser experienced resource is given the position in the name of equality. Others don't think that way at all. I'm not going to comment on what is right, as that is facts and circumstances based, but I think we all need to acknowledge that different companies think about diversity differently. Musk isn't totally right or totally wrong on this or any of his other theories. He will say something else tomorrow that will offend someone else which will be tomorrow's news. This too shall pass.
