I recently resigned from Infosys (still on probation) - while discussing with my manager and lead both of them told me that - they cannot give me hike as the current in hand offer - however chances of on-site is possible… but I need to complete at least 1 year in Infosys.. Exhausted by entitled clients that are just plain nasty. Is it just me or are clients everywhere getting more demanding and treating their agencies worse?

I’ve been working for my State Farm agency as a team member for 2 years. I am licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, but only make $13 an hour. I technically can make bonuses but I’m not supposed to dig into a sale and I have to send it to a sales rep (I am service and retention mostly). My boss also has me running a retired agents office until a new one is chosen (its an hour away with no pay increase or mileage pay). Also, no benefits! Should I start job searching?

What advice do you have for someone who wants to make a quick and seamless transition from operations to creative?

Jumping off a related topic: am I delusional to not care about jr/int/sr level titles? I've been a "copywriter" since the day I started and steadily gained responsibility, autonomy, and money. Happy with career progression, always getting juicier assignments, work directly with ECDs/CCOs... am I missing something crucial? Is my case an anomaly? Or is it okay not to push for a title upgrade?

I am being tapped to translate documents at work. I’ve done spot translation audits, and 1 larger Quality assurance document earlier this year, but was recently contacted about a potential large-scale translation initiative for next year.

Has anyone been compensated for these sorts of projects that would be “out of scope” for their role? How do you go about asking for compensation? Have any of you spun out and created translation service side-gigs?

I find myself in workshops and meetings, groups of 15-20 people, and I’m always the only woman. In my entire department, there are no other women. I’m getting to the point where I’m feeling defeated and burnt out. I’ve been working in male-dominated environments my entire career (over 10 years) and I’m losing motivation. Been for a company for over 2years. The executive team is very much a boy's club. There are a few women in management roles but zero ethnicity diversity there. I raised my concern to HR in feb. And they are just now deciding to do something about it. They want me (white female) to put together a diversity committee. Any suggestions on how to go about it? How to attract volunteers to the committee? I want to make sure I get the right people involved in this, to push for changes.

What do you wish you knew before starting your career in Diversity & Inclusion?

How do you deal with your “mentor” being threatened by your performance and gatekeeping information from you? Then turning around and giving you shit for not knowing things… but they don’t tell you anything and there is no way for you to know. My learning and development is being hindered and I’ve felt this for a long time, but coworker just confirmed this is the case. Now that I know I’m not “crazy” for thinking this, how should I approach this?

I'm in desperate need of tips to get genuine buy in from our predominantly white, male senior leadership to create a more inclusive environment. As is often the case, middle management and below is very diverse and then at Director+ it gets much more homogeneous. So far any real initiatives get shot down in favor of performative actions to post on SM. Is this just how it is, or can we try something different?
