I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Can you shut the person down without starting a spat?

I started a new job recently and then had my PTSD seriously triggered, plus a panic attack. Felt so on edge and low on emotional resources for over a week that I wasn’t myself and apparently really rubbed a few people the wrong way so I was called in for a talking to 😣. I let people know there were some personal things going on, but didn’t mention the PTSD—very unsure if that’s something to share, or if I’d be judged for it or... I don’t even know. My 64 y/o mom is really struggling with her mental health and refuses to acknowledge it or take action. She is already difficult to have a relationship with, toxic, always shaming, blaming, dismissive and refuses to have important conversations.
6 years ago her husband/my step dad was killed suddenly and tragically. He had a man cave room that she has not touched since. It is beyond filthy, unsanitary and poor living conditions.

I am a UX designer and have spoken with a potential client who intially wanted to redesign the navigation and landing page of their site. They showed me analytics saying only .35% of users open the main menu (most access different pages through Google search and then leave the site) so it's not worth the time to redesign. I see a lot of growth potential here, but they don't see the value in good nav if users don't already use it. How do I show them the value of good nav? Should I just let it go?

Our chambers has been keeping up with assignments, incoming emails needing judge’s eyes, and written orders, all through Microsoft Planner. We share PDFs through Sharepoint folders. Although we still email draft orders back and forth, the system seems to work well enough. I used to care about and chase the opportunity to produce cool/fun/funny work. But, as of the last couple years..it’s just more about stability, keeping working relationships happy, building finances, i.e. it’s just a job. Not about pushing for the most fun creative ideas—I still do that—I just don’t care enough to fight as much if they don’t get it. Definitely still feel genuinely defeated when truly awesome concepts get glossed over by a client who has no clue what they want.
