Hello everyone. I never thought about making a career out of hr but its definitely something that I want to do now. Eventually, my goal is to become an HRIS analyst. At ADP i worked as a technical support analyst and helped clients with anything from troubleshooting system issues to reporting to processing payroll and much more. I've applied to over 100 positions and havent even advanced to a single interview. It has been rejection after rejection. Any suggestions on which positions to focus on?

hello! I’m looking to get some insight to see if I’m being paid fairly for where I’m at in my career. I’ve worked at the same company for 2.5 years. This is my first job out of college. Started as an HR Admin, basically in a call center for all HR related inquiries and now am a Sr Admin assisting with escalations, interviewing, training new hires, supporting my team, scheduling, keeping track of stats- phone calls, tickets resolved, etc. I’m making $52k per year and work remote out of MA.

I think this will also require me to revisit job titles, existing talent and tenure, performance, career paths, and the organizational structure. Any useful tips as I tackle this big undertaking?

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. According to California Law, employers must pay unused vacation. Each year, we are given 33 days of holidays, no accrual. I was just laid off and my employer only paid half of my vacation because it’s mid year. Is this legal?

In hibob it says I had 32.5 days accrued.

Where’d you get your MBA? Looking at a 10 course program 30 cr hours for 19,000 USD. The school is AASCB credited. It would be an MBA with a a focus on management and transformational leadership.

I’m having the hardest time finding a new job. I have 12 years of HR experience, a masters in HR, SHRM certification, and all I keep getting are rejection emails. I’ve never experienced this difficult of a time searching for new opportunities. Is this normal once you hit a certain level in your career or is it just me?
