I had interviewed for an internship position at EY for technology consultant program for summer 2022 and got a call where they extended an offer. I wanted to know if I can defer the internship offer to fall 2022 or a later start date after summer.
I apologize as I cannot reply to a comment or DM on this platform to anyone, but thanks for your answers in advance.

Junior web my parents won't let me. They won't even take me driving. I need car insurance but I cant get car insurance untill I get a job to pay for it. :(
Sorry to hear that. Sounds kinda toxic. Not sure what country or state you’re in, but in mine, any licensed adult over the age of 25 (does NOT have to be a relative) can accompany a new driver. I hope your country/state has a similar law
OP so you're a person who graduated college a few years ago (probably safe to say you're in your 20's) but your parents are keeping you from driving? How does that work?
Right, but why do you need permission to start driving?
Get a license now even if you can’t or won’t be driving so it won’t delay jobs down the road! DMVs have had terrible delays due to Covid
Is there any way your parents would reconsider? It sounds like needing a fully remote position is seriously hindering your job search and I'm not sure how much that will improve based on the field you're looking to enter.
Thank you for reaching out! Sorry for this long rant! You are right!! The sub positions are close enough and has a lenent schedule that works for my parents(they are retired but also have stated once I get my license they still don't want me to drive so I have to save up for a car and also every pay check I have to give them half because when I graduated I had a lot of medical bills). I was training to be a RBT but it was 30 mins away and they weren't happy about that. I was thinking of doing a remote part time art teacher position at home and the days I have off go into sub or start driving! I would love to work at a museum remotely but the jobs I've applied for aren't reaching back to me. I feel my resume needs more experience but I can't do that if I can't drive! Do you know any remote companies in the education field or Art History career pathway/have any overall advice? Would it be better to work at a call center?
When I was working near by I was giving them most of my savings(I owed them for medical bills) and then I was about to start a better job and they didn't want to drive me 30 min away everyday. My mom feels I have no consideration for them. She also doesn't want me driving because I'm not an experienced driver. They want me to get car insurance incase of an accident but I don't have a car and can't afford it. I need to be able to go into work and be driven in order to save for insurance etc.
My dad said car insurance will go up $400 if I'm included so now he doesn't even want to bother taking me driving.
