IMHO, our stint in consulting’s purpose is to develop a corporate strategy skillset. Doing CDDs is one of if not the best way to get a ton of reps and variety in our 18 - 24 month tenure.

With options among MBB, T2 incl S&, EYP, and general Big 4 / ACN MC:

- Take MBB (can ask for CDD, overall better comp package)
- Reject B4 MC (won’t get it here)
- T2 (pick other T2s if you want way more strategy projects that aren’t CDD / growth strategy)

This is gonna sound stupid, but I’m honest - I can’t do math. Calculating a tip is as advanced as I get. Thank god for excel formulas and a math savvy husband. At the end of the day, I pay all the bills (I know- but I’m more organized) and make double his salary, what low stress effort (on my limited math capacity brain) can I do to increase wealth?

I feel like I should be doing more with extra money to help us financially, but I’m scared of having to study stocks and understand the numbers. 😖

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

Anyone have similar experiences or do I just suck at executive stakeholder management?
