Hey everyone, I have been running a software development company for a while building MVP's and MSP's for founders in the UK. I am also a fractional CTO for few startups in the UK. I am looking to break into the US market as well. Any guidance on what would be the best way to go about it would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

I keep getting contract offers on LinkedIn (think self-employed consultant). The rates seem really good ($120-$150/hr). I have around 5 years exp and a CISSP. I’m highly considering leaving big4 to become a contractor/self-employed consultant. From a risk perspective I’m young and have no kids and low debt.
Anyone did it? Any feedback?

Got an offer to work at a boutique PE fund as an intern for the next few months. The role is however unpaid and the fund is new.

For some background, I’m going to be starting at a T-2 firm doing CDD for PE funds in January. Wondering if getting this kind of experience looks good when I apply to analyst roles 1-2 years out? Don’t want to work without getting paid unless the experience is valuable. Would love any perspective on this.

Looking for advice on where to head next. Now I'm mostly working with Azure Databricks, SQL, and a little bit of Ansible CI/CD.
After 12 months I can influence where my next role is and I'm wondering what is the best career direction.
The next role can include
C#,
APIs,
React,
DevOps / Ansible,
Or more Azure Synapse & Databricks
Which of these languages / technologies is good for my future in tech? Or does it matter?

My current employer wants 2+ YOE in a “professional environment” for the BDR role, which would likely be a barrier even with a referral.

Hi Team,

TCS has released the offer letter for me & my doj is on 30th Jan which I chose. My current employer is ready to release me early and my lwd is 30th November.

I am confused whether I should join on 30th Jan or I should talk to HR for early joining. Also, there are rumours that Indian MNCs are cancelling offer letters due to recession and hence I am scared as I don't have any other offer in hand

What's the truth 🤔
