Hello Sharks, I recently gave interview of Tiger Analytics and after all successful technical discussion, they were offering me Senior analytics - data Science role for 15.5 fixed + 2L jb, considering my current yoe 4.3 and in data science relevant is not much(consider it 1.5+) but my cctc is 14(13fixed+1 variable), I denied to accept this offer. Should I reconsider that?
I was interviewed at EY UK on 7th Sep. It was quite smooth. Since then I haven't heard anything back from them though interviewer claimed SLA to get back with outcome of interview is 48 hours. On portal it still says I'm in hiring team phase. It was level 1 interview.
Should I take this delay as rejection?

I have one from my company. They provide them because our company has a lot of travel involved, and it saves on costs of reimbursing people for international plans, and Wi-Fi because we can use the phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot. I set my work phone to do not disturb 30 minutes after my work day and it does not come off until 30 minutes before my next work day. My executives do have my personal cell phone should an emergency arise but that has only happened once in almost 4 years now. So having a work phone does not necessarily mean being on call orr having to actually check for messages outside of your work hours unless it's specifically stated in the job scope.
I carried around two for years--personal and work. When I started, I was given choice to use my phone or get a separate work-only phone. It was a pain, but I wanted the option to just turn it in if I ever left co., which happened after 13 years. I think they did away with admins needing phones unless there was a business justification. I used it primarily to text my executive for anything urgent or when he was in mtgs. It was helpful to have. And he knew he could call me with anything super urgent too.
i had a work mobile phone in my last role and my executive rarely reached out to me on it. I'm sure though every organization and executive differs.
An office cellphone… gosh, I was super anxious about getting one when our company mandated it the first time… that was over 10 years ago, and now I can’t imagine life without one. We started with blackberry’s, then androids and now it’s iPhones but life is so much easier when your support’s calendar and your own email are setup on your work phone. It comes in handy when stepping away to a doc appt / school pick ups etc. you can easily respond to something urgent or monitor something without being glued to the laptop / PC. It’s also awesome when you’re working with global folks and expecting urgent responses out of your own timezone. Oh, and it acts as a good backup to hotspot WiFi if ever your regular WiFi has issues.
We just got them where I was and it was actually a safety thing because of opening emails from my personal phone or calls sometimes. It should be easier to set a boundary and put it aside when not working.
I have one now, I don’t get bothered by my executives much outside of work hours.
If the role itself requires you to have a cell phone to be reachable, that’s what you’re getting paid for. Much depends on the executive you’re working for. The only time my executive ever reached me after hours is when he traveled and were in different time zones and needed something urgently. It happened maybe a handful of times per year.
I do not have company cell but we do get a stipend in our checks for cell
EAs have them at my company. Personally I prefer to have a work and personal phone. And the weekend I don’t get bothered by emails pinging on my own phone. My exec has my personal number (worked together for 10yrs) but no one else does. Should I leave I also won’t get unwanted calls on my own phone
