Recruiter for big tech company reached out on LinkedIn about a role. I asked about ballpark compensation numbers and they said they’re only comfortable sharing on a live call. Replied that I often receive LinkedIn offers for roles of paycuts around 30-50% so I want to make sure we’re in the same rough range. Recruiter again said she would only share via live call. Is this a red flag?

Curious what everyone else’s experience has been with refresh RSU grants (ie how many $s in RSUs have you gotten on a yearly basis after your initial new hire grant)

We are starting to build our SE team after a successful pilot with one person. Have you ever built a team from the ground up? How did you prove out the business case? What was most effective for building the case for more hires?

Those who have moved from development into SE, do you have a desire to move into full sales or are you happy with SE and the career path it provides?

Honest advice please - do you enjoy this work, and why?

Never been in an SE or consulting or B2B sales role before but have a referral at Salesforce and have been in some informal conversations. I’m starting to freak out a bit now that maybe I can’t do it. I have a tech background so can handle that part, but perhaps strategy may be difficult. Anyone make the transition to an SE role that have some advice?

I feel like I was straight up lied to during the interview process. “lots of opportunities to hit quota”. I’m sitting here with only one demo two months after joining the company. it looks like our team has only two people doing demos, and demos are only happening once every two weeks. At this rate, I don’t think I’ll be even close to hitting OTE. Are there any other companies hiring right now? I’ll have a discussion about my concerns with my manager soon, but there’s too many red flags here.
