Hi Fishes! Does anyone have a not too expensive alternative to Becker for CPA prep? I’m studying for FAR, but Becker is making me highlight the whole textbook and the concepts are just so heavy lol. I’ve heard of i75, Ninja, and Farhat lectures - does anyone have any feedback on them? Thank you guys!

I’ve heard of Rogers and Gleim, but only used Becker (firm covered it). Gleim we had to buy a supplemental for my audit course and I recall it was inexpensive, but very helpful.

like

I used Gleim about 5 years ago- was way cheaper then Becker and was perfect prep for the exams in my opinion.

I used ninja before he made you buy bundles. The mcqs are great, notes are decent, and everything else was garbage.

I used Wiley and thought it was good.

like

I’ll definitely take a look and have had similar feedback from others. Thank you!

My efficiency went way up when I stopped highlighting the book altogether. I was so focused on making sure the right things were highlighted that I wouldn’t really be listening when they said something important.

like

I used Wiley and had no issues

I had no clue people actually highlighted the book ☠️☠️☠️. I passed in under 6 months just read the book, worked out while watching the videos, and did mcs. Did not do any sims or practice exams. It should take you under three weeks for each?

I used ninja (after trying becker), the abbreviated notes were so much better to get through than becker. And there were so many MCQs to go through, it was so helpful come exam day.

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.
