Get a couple YOE under your belt and i feel like you’ll find things much simpler. You can pitch a really good case as an experienced hire. Try applying once a year to see if you break in earlier but don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t work out the first couple times. It’ll happen, just keep pushing and give yourself some years of trying

Don't submit your application without a referral from someone on the inside. Use LinkedIn to your advantage and make some connections.

Except we don’t get $$ for referrals from schools so there’s no incentive to refer

funny

Networking is of course important, and a referral raises your chances of being accepted. But don’t forget to just shoot your shot with an online application. That’s what I did and here I am

Thanks for the amazing comments guys! Is anyone willing to give me a referral to the firm they are working at? I would be more than happy to schedule a call/show you my resume to make sure you know who you are referring. Would realllyyyy appreciate that. Thank you!!

Hi guys,
I am working since a year in my first job and I don't feel like I'm getting to learn much here or see any opportunities for growth. I am thinking about learning Salesforce development and applying for specific Salesforce jobs.
Either that or I will join another company as java developer.
Which of the two has better scope in the future, java development or Salesforce?
Any advice is appreciated.

Hello!

I joined Accenture 5 months back as a lateral hire ( Level 11 ) and have been a part of a project since day one.

I am not enjoying my work here, no motivation at all. Dreaded to report to work and having stress and anxiety. My manager is trying to micromanage me as productivity is on the lower side.

Another thing is, I have started to dislike my current tech and no more interested in it.
What are my options here ?
Is project release possible ?
or I have to put down papers ?

Hi Fishes,
I have an experience of 6 years in Production and Application Support. I have worked as middleware administrator as well for Jboss and Weblogic.
But due to the diminishing demands of the role in IT industry , I am planning to switch my career in Devops or AWS which would help me grow.
But I am not sure without any practical knowledge, will I get a job at this many years of experience in a different profile.
Do companies hire for AWS profiles with good packages at beginners level?

Coming out of UG, I accepted my first job b/c I thought I had to based on status of other interviews. I ended up quitting after 8 weeks in favor of an opportunity I perceived to be better, but took longer to get. 7 months into the new gig, I am NOT happy. Considering this is technically my second job out of school, how long should I stick around before trying to leave without looking like a total scumbag opportunist?

I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

I am looking for a remote opportunity for the role of Data Analyst / Business Analyst. That would be great if you can help me find any such roles.
