...on personal? Will the firm allow that since it’s still Amex? I want to get the rewards but also don’t want to upgrade the corp card
Call AMEX and confirm. BDO let’s you do that and generally it cost $90/year to enroll, but the AMEX rewards people can answer that
You want the rewards, pay the $90. Simple as that.
If you spend $9k a year on your corporate card, pay the $90 to enroll in Membership Rewards.
If majority of that is on hotels, you could always just churn...
Lol you EY folks keep posting to ask if you can use personal cards to expense business items. Then later wait on expenses to be reimbursed by firm. I’m at Deloitte and even I know that your expense policy has changed because of the new import system. Don’t you sometimes have to front the credit card payments while you wait for the cash from EY? Why would you want to do that? Some hotel bills are in like the thousands. Don’t comingle that shit. Pay the $90 and enroll to get the Amex points on the Corp card. The fee can get waived if you have a personal account and be nice to the customer service rep. Points can be combined to use as personal.
You can do AMEX points, personal card is a hard no
