Hi Fishes,
I am a python developer with 3+ years of experience. And now I am thinking of learning c++ . So guys can you help me with these questions which are coming in my mind:
1) Is it worth learning C++ at this stage.
2 ) If yes what kind of opportunities I can grab by learning C++.
3) How much hike can I expect by learning C++ on my current CTC.
Nvidia Intel Corporation Google Qualcomm
Thanks in advance 🙏🙏.

To broaden your skill set, make sure you don't study decarbonisation alone. The circular economy is a must-know. Water scarcity is increasingly urgent, as is biodiversity.
Thanks for your advice! I did my dissertation about circular economy, so understand this topic as well. Will check the other ones you've mentioned 👍
Carbon removal shouldn’t be our first plan of attack- lowering emissions should be. I’d look into the role of the economic system - how capitalism and exponential growth drive climate change. I recommend the book “The Story of Stuff”
Thank you, I agree! I got into carbon removal topic after finding out that even with our best efforts we'd need to take some of co2 out of the atmosphere if we want to limit the temperature rise below 2°C.
I would become familiar with ESG reporting guidelines like GRI
Thank you!
Sustainability is a massive topic and you can’t know it all. I would work on a decent understanding of the macro issue: what are the major carbon emission sources now? What are some ways we can reduce/mitigate emissions? What’s a notional carbon abatement curve look like? You can get a lot of this material from the US Energy Information Agency, the UN IGPCC, and other sources. A macro view is often missing from these discussions and this can be a differentiator.
Then if there’s a specific area you want to focus on, the reading list can be tailored to that topic.
Since you've looked at climate change and carbon removal, have u explored Net Zero?
Things like GHG Accounting and mitigation?
That's how I started.
Thanks for advice, I'll look into it!
I would read ESG reports for companies that are leaders (Unilever, Danone for example) so you can get an understanding of material topics, what a solid strategy looks like, etc. Someone recommended GRI which is great but it's dry as hell - better to see how it's applied in an ESG report.
Look at circular economics as well
