Marriott International Honestly speaking does anyone actually get hired at any Marriott NYC properties by applying themselves or do you need an internal reference ? Are theyactually hiring or resume hoarding ?

I recently joined nagarro.... was on bench for almost a month as I was not getting project as per my skill set. Recently got one project as per my skillset and cleared client interview also.
But during the time, I was also looking outside for good opportunity, I have one with same package from a product based organization.
What should I do now ? If I resign , would Nagarro release me early or I will have to serve complete notice period?

Job has up to 80% travel PwC
How is typically life for these positions requiring travel? This is for a SWE position.
Currently work with clients is remote as stated by the recruiter. If work is currently feasible through virtual means, will there be flexibility to choose to travel for this position?
I have an offer with PWC and have a family. I would prefer to be with my family.

Seems to be the case with Marriott in general. Also in the DC area. Ghosted, and the positions are still listed on job platforms, months after...
Exactly !
I’ve worked for 3 different Marriott Hotels from 2021-2025. The first two I was internally hired, and worked my way up to assistant gm . I can’t speak for every other hotel but I know that we made it our business to check applications weekly and even held open interviews. The crazy part is out of maybe 100 applicants, we’d call about 20 who seemed qualified and only like 3 would actually respond/show up. I would suggest to try contacting them by phone or in person to show that you’re serious.
Thank you, your advice is noted and appreciated.
99% reference
I can't speak for that location in particular, but in my experience Marriott has only ever given me an interview ONE time (despite many attempts) when I got a referral from someone. SO.. it definitely can't hurt to get a referral. I think it might even be necessary.
Oh wawe yes it appears that is the only way. Unfortunately I don’t know anyone working in any location. I’ve even reached out via LinkedIn and it’s "seen" lol .

I’ve had a friend that worked for Marriott but I don’t know anyone who has been hired recently
I think thats an issue for me not knowing anything within the company but at the same time my education an experience could at least get me a face to face I think.
It depends on the position. Entry level or lower level get hired off the site. But a referral always takes priority.
That’s what I’ve been applying for just to work my way up if possible . I’ve even applied for stewarding . I have a bachelor degree in hospitality management and previous experience as an housekeeping manager. However, it dosent bother Me to apply for entry level positions because I just want my foot in the Marriott door lol.
They only hire Spanish folks with a certain look and within..these are all fake positions given to people they know.
I've been having the same thing happening here in the metro Detroit area. I was contacted last week to set up an in person interview only to have them cancel 20 minutes later. Hmmm. I'm considering trying to apply downtown but I don't know about parking. It's really expensive
