Marriott International Honestly speaking does anyone actually get hired at any Marriott NYC properties by applying themselves or do you need an internal reference ? Are theyactually hiring or resume hoarding ?
I’ve been applying to Marriott since 2018 as a hospitality management student and nothing, I’ve even been contacted by Marriott recruiters to apply for X position and rejected and ghosted by said recruiters.
I’ve recently applied for a dishwasher position, no high school diploma required and guess what? nope .

I recently moved to Dubai after getting married. I am still continuing my last job but eventually I'll hv to find a new opportunity here. I am from architecture background and wud like if someone who could help me with a referral. As far as my capabilities are concerned, I hv personally loved teaching and managing projects cz I am able to connect with my team/students and get the job done. I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.

Can any one please tell me if its correct or just an excuse not to give me offer. If its true, when will this freeze be removed?
