Honeymoon destinations for November? Was planning on the Ritz in the Maldives on points but the remote prospect of testing positive while in the Maldives and having to pay ~$2000 per night for a 14 day mandatory quarantine is daunting.

So $28,000 if you pop positive? No thanks.

Yeahhhhhhhh I’m not sure if any type of insurance would pay for it, but certainly seems like a nightmare either way.

They’re not comping it? Resorts in Mexico just isolate you in a room for free

Everything I’ve read says “at your own expense”

November is still hurricane season so that limits a lot of tropical destinations…

Uhh, if there was anywhere in the world I'd want to be quarantined for 14 days - it would be my honeymoon in Maldives in an overwater villa with my SO. It was just so gorgeous! Do it. What's the worst that could happen? Getting pregnant too soon is literally the only downside I can think of. Lol.

Being forced to go into debt to pay the extreme cost of two weeks in the hotel

I’m over consulting and just want to do van life (or van life lifestyle). I want to up and quit but I’m really struggling to find a solid remote job. For context I’ve been solo traveling around since we can work remote so I’ve done a trial run of this. I know it is not always glamorous and vans are expensive.

With new considerations for full-time remote work given the pandemic, has anyone heard of hires internationally at agencies? For example, if an agency office in London has a remote option, do they even consider candidates from the U.S. or will the time difference be too great to make it work?

My firm recently announced that they were beginning a reservation system for hoteling starting February of 2022 for offices . We were told to clear out our offices by December 31,2022 . The lease is not up for renewal until June 2024 at which point they will look to reduce their office space due to a hybrid work model . My issue is what incentive do I have to make a reservation to go to an office when I can simply continue work from home hassle free. Any Thoughts and comments?

Indexed Universal Life Insurance (IUL) - Anyone have one of these ? Never heard of this until the other day when a financial planner mentioned it. He said it’s a better vehicle than 401K. I took what he said with a grain of salt because he was trying to acquire customers, but I haven’t heard anyone talk about it here. At a quick glance it seems pretty solid. Anyone have experience ? Pros/Cons ? Something to add on including the standard 401K, Roth, HSA, etc ?
