Houston downtown JW vs Westin.. Thoughts?
My wife started as an M at Accenture earlier this year coming from industry. I’ve never worked at Accenture or any b4, but I had to explain to her how up or out works. She also didn’t know that she came in with 24 months at level and what that meant. Really surprised none of this was communicated during hiring or by her manager.

I mean....math
No A1-confirmed fee only waived for EP. Standby is free for all elites.
1000 miles a week isn't a lot, that doesn't even get you close to platinum pro. You can do a challenge to get you up to exec plat but you won't maintain it with that kind of miles. If you want, you can try to do it on segments which need 120.
You can go on a status run, but, it likely isn't worth it
Well, it depends if it's worth it on what you want out of it. If it's upgrades and you're at a major hub, then EP is useless (speaking from experience) but if it's for same day flight changes and whatnot, then it can be worthwhile
Same day flight changes are free for all tiers of status with AA. For a non-status patron, it is $75.
120 segments
Was in the same boat earning only 1000 miles each way -- qualified by hitting 120 segments for 3 years running, then finally qualified via miles first this year (although I still hit segments in the end) by taking 4 international vacations this year
