I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs

Exactly as you did here: health reasons

If you’re having trouble getting traction, you could go back to school for a master’s or MBA. Wish you the best of luck

Hopefully you’d be able to access scholarship funding given no/limited recent income. Agree that remote nature makes school somewhat less valuable but hopeful that in-person will resume next September
Don’t most big firms have “back to work” schemes that could be tailored to you? Deloitte does in the UK. I hope you find something soon and back on your feet.
Good luck OP. It sounds like you’ve had a tough road. I’m sure when you get out of it your character will be stronger.
1) second the mba/masters, I’d also apply to see if you can get scholarships
2) spin the gap as a positive. Did you do anything interesting during this time? If not-explain how it has shaped your character

I'd second for a quality MBA or a marketable tech skill track. The job market is pretty bad out there and will take another 1-2 years to improve. Having a big gap could be an issue to secure an interview. Best to spend time in the school and upskill. Most hiring managers understand the Covid job gap in 20/21, but it is still challenging to tell the story and stand out in a competitive market. You are still early in your career and take a longer view.
You’re the right age for this. Don’t wait.

MBA is the right play here. Will get you back on an accelerated path.
If you did some contract projects, you could list the entire period as you being an independent consultant and list the projects you did as sample engagements
