honestly, flexibility. big thing for me is to be able to workout every day without interruption and eat my dinner in peace. There's always an exception here and there but this has been respected very consistently. that being said WLB has been good for me during my time here (avg <50 hours a week)

Idk, even while knowing I’m at KPMG which has the best known WLB, I’m very fortunate that I’m able to step away whenever I need to outside of meetings, and don’t have to appear “on” at all times during normal hours.
Some weeks I spend 20 hours online, some weeks 50, but my work gets done and my clients love me, so that’s what matters to leadership, especially as a juniorish practitioner
I’m only 1 YOE but I feel like not having to miss anything important with family or partner holds the most weight
I would not bother too much on WBL early in the career - Learn, focus and grow. Take some good breaks in between and enjoy your points ...
• workout in the morning
• eat meals without worry
• sign off at a time that allows you to pursue a hobby and not just go to bed as soon as you log out.
• don't have existential dread due to mountains and mountains of work
Being able to have the flexibility to do the things most important to me. Similar to others. I have found that the key is knowing those top things and making them a priority.
