How do you know if you have a bad therapist? I often catastrophize and get ahead of myself. I’ll tell her stuff needing her to calm me down but instead she fires me up more and agrees with me. It feels like girl talk? Like IIIIIIII know I’m wrong and being nuts, the professional should know too. How did you find a good one?

It sounds like you haven’t had many therapists, maybe try seeing some others- to see how their dictum compares.

I’m very stringent in regards to the therapists I’ll see, I’ve had many I’ve only seen once, because they weren’t up to my standard. But this is partially because I’ve had some great ones I hold onto as a reference frame as to what I expect.

In my experience, those that don’t have the doctorates usually fall far short. I’m withholding judgement, as I’m sure there are a few great non doctorates therapists to be found- but i haven’t found them.

Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been yelled at and berated by my coworker 3 separate times because of minor errors. I’m ready to quit. I didn't apply for a job that would have set me up for the future in the government. I wouldn't have to worry about money or future jobs. My boss had just given me a small pay rise and talked up the future and so I felt good. I now severely regret not applying for the job and cannot stop thinking about it to the point of insomnia and depression. I even contacted the employer but too late. How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. My commute is an hour each way, so I’d prefer not to make my day any longer. Advice?
