Cogno AI Hey fishes, One of my friends, got offer in cognizant. She have an epfo account with inactive UAN and she changed her name in aadhar recently and this epfo account has the past name. So she raised request for name change 2 months ago and still it's processing. And now cognizant asking the acknowledgement of changed name which the previous company cannot provide for obvious reasons. Will it affect the doj? Or anyone had this kind of problem before? If you’re vaccinated, how will it affect you?

Yes you are vaccinated. Your odds of getting the virus are low. And even if you did contract it the odds of it being severe are minuscule. It’s hard to get out of the Covid mindset. I’m trying to but it’s strange after living in fear for a year plus!
According to the Biden administration, 75% vaccination rate is the target. So, theoretically, if 75% of the people are vaccinated, you should be good.
Masks are over. In the US, covid is over. Most event spaces are going mask free now. If you are vaccinated, you really don't have much to worry about. And if other people choose not to get the vaccine, I don't particularly care what happens to them.
Habits are tough to break. Just as some people were resistant to the new normality of wearing masks, based on being uncomfortable with change... So too we are seeing some people on the other side now being uncomfortable with the relaxation of the rules.
Don't let your resistance to change and your slow adaptation to another major shift in the rules mislead you into thinking that your friends are reckless. It's a perfectly responsible position to take, that vaccinated people don't need to wear masks anymore.
A certain amount of our stubborn population will never get vaccinated and the rest of us certainly are not going to wear masks for the rest of our lives.
I think it depends on if they asked for your feedback on whether they should require masks or not. I completely understand your concern and I would also be uncomfortable if I was invited to such an event. IMO this boils down to whether or not you want to take the risk in attending, not whether or not you should try to convince them. In short, I don’t think you’re overthinking it - right now the burden is placed on the people who are the most vulnerable to not get infected, such as the people working the reception (service staff can’t afford to take time off if they’re sick), or are immunocompromised etc.
