Bain & Company Moving to strategy consulting!
Looking for recommendations for how I can transition back to consulting and mainly MBB.
Background:
10 yoe with healthcare consulting with Strategy& in APAC, Middle East and Australia on varied health insurance consultations working as a director leading data science teams.
Feel like I am losing my MC mojo and want to get some years of experience in MBB McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group
Is there a way without cutting back on pay?
Hi fishes, I declined the offer from Pwc AC bangalore on July 28th by sending an email to HR, communicated the same to us_pwc_ac_bangalore_recruitment_services@pwc.com. But I keep getting these emails to complete pre-hiring formalities and daily reminders for the same. How can I make them update the status in system? Also are there repercussions of rejecting an offer. I rejected 3 days after acceptance. PwC Pwc AC

Have you considered going in-house with a tech company? I would imagine that would be a marketable story and with a tech company it's probably pretty likely that they're either public or will die trying, so that may a way to leverage your existing experience in that space.
It may be hard but not impossible. There are very few privacy laterals out there with experience, so we’ve had to start retooling other lawyers. First thing you need to do is get your CIPP certification to show that you are serious about making the switch. Ideally you’d get both US and EU.
Transitioning to a new practice group is hard but not impossible. If you’re a 3rd year now, it’s much easier than waiting until you are more senior. Most firms will probably class you make at least a year to make that transition easier. If you don’t class back, you are expected to know the same as any other 3rd year associate in that practice group who has been there the whole time. Try to get any experience in cyber/privacy at your current firm to be able to highlight on your resume. It doesn’t have to be a lot, but it can help. If you would like to discuss further, feel free to DM me.
