I want to get to know the local private companies. I worked at a private company with 2-3k employees before my MBA. They had an amazing culture, but limited progression opportunities. I'm thinking about looking for a smaller company (couple hundred to couple thousand employees) in the Dallas area and looking to find an amazing culture.

I think I read about some kind of process where when an applicant reaches out to a current student or alum for a 1:1 and makes a good impression, the student/alum can send a message to the adcom letting them know? What are reasonable target schools? 3.7 gpa with a business degree from top 25 university, 720 gmat, and 4 years tech consulting.

Worth applying for a gmat waiver versus submitting a sub-700 score or just not apply round 1 in hope score goes up?
