I know partners at our firm are making a big push towards AI because it can do the grunt work that younger associates typically do but I’m wondering when they’ll realize that without the grunt work/training the younger associates won’t know how to do anything….
We're experiencing something similar at my small firm. AI has the possibility to add to this profession, but younger lawyers are already losing out on getting the opportunity to gain trial experience and to make oral arguments in court. I think this is just going to make the situation even worse. It's like we're trying to make ourselves obsolete.
