How many days on the bench before getting fired is a real possibility? Asking for a friend

Hello fishes, I am working at IBM as a Data Scientist and currently on bench. I will be resigning today as I have a better offer in hand right now. Wanted to know if I have to serve entire notice period of 90 days even when on bench or IBM gives early release ?

My question is about two companies Deloitte and LMI. If you accept an offer from Deloitte (C) and then you receive an Offer from LMI. Which would you go for? Has anyone experience this?
