How many days on the bench before getting fired is a real possibility? Asking for a friend

Hearing of layoffs with some Chicago agencies. MSL...Porter...Ketchum...others? Sign of bad economy coming? Hate to sound skittish, but I lived through 2008

Has anyone here ever been fired for being rude to a customer?

I'm thinking I won't be getting promoted if not laid off at the end Q2 or sooner. What are some good exit ops for an associate with 2 yoe in tech consulting? Exp in Cloud, PMO, IT Risk, and SoD.

My work product is becoming worse and partners are noticing/commenting. I just hate the practice area so much that every time I am asked to do something I just get it done as quickly as possible and can’t be bothered to put in effort. I think I need to quit so I’m not fired for bad performance with a horrible reputation. Am I nuts and should I just wait til they let me go?

If I initiate seperation from IBM while in the last few days in an account (End date in two weeks), what is the notice period ? Will it be immediately effective or will I be on bench for 1 month or 3 months with salary ?

Similarly, if I am already on bench and initiate seperation from IBM as I am not getting clients I want to join, will it be immediate effective or 1 month or 3 months with salary ?

I am a senior Angular Developer with 7+ yrs of exp. I got an offer from EPAM Anywhere(not EPAM) with base CTC as 6 LPA and base+project CTC as 26 LPA complete remote work.
FYI if I go on bench I'll be getting only 50000/- INR per month instead of my 216000/- INR pm with working on the project.
Just wanted to know how EPAM Anywhere as a company is? What are the chances of someone going on a bench? Is it a good choice to select EPAM Anywhere at this stage of my career?

I have been going on interviews and noticed 2 department heads already assume I was laid off or fired due to a 4 months gap. I explained I left my last role due to short term health issues that have been resolved. Not even sure how to respond when they assume. Any advise? Thanks!

Throwing this out there. My company was recently acquired and I was laid off yesterday. I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work?
