How many times can one be laid off before it gets sad? I just got laid off for the third time since 2019... Is this a sign from the universe that Accounting is just not for me?

Worked as an admin assist for 5 years... was fired for ASKING FOR A RAISE. Was making $22/hr. Located in NYC. Past 2 months i have going on interview after interview only to be ghosted. I've applied for some executive admin spots as well. Any advice on getting an exec assist job?

Has anyone here ever been fired for being rude to a customer?

Coming to the US after summer as I got my visa approved. However im seeing a lot of people commenting they got laid off. Is it risky for me to change countries right now and get a job I might lose in 3-4 months? Or it's not that bad overall?

What are some good personal finance books?

What industries is the CFE certification used for? How does it compare to CPA in the length of the material and difficulty? Do most firms pay for It?

Is CMA worth getting after getting the CPA? Or is it better to get the CFA. Also don’t have much finance background so I don’t know if I can pass the CFA will require a lot of hard work. Interesting in hearing people’s thoughts.

I have no plans in leaving PA anytime soon but I figure maybe I should look into another certification that holds value and makes me more marketable compared to my peers. Appreciate any thoughts and advice.
