My summer intern met the CEO their first day and their day-to-day client was a Fortune 500 VP.
To be fair I'd fully expect an MBB intern to have a significantly different experience than the rest
They get a windowless room on client site, good enough...right?
About 4 client exposures
Summer of ‘14, we were sold out through North America. I led a culture and change module as part of a large cap PMI My daily client counterparts were the EVP Global HR and SVP Americas HR on either side, representing 18k total employees. I didn’t go to SteerCo (CEOs and BU Presidents), but can’t remember a weekly Integration Management Office meeting (including both IMO leads, both CFOs) where I didn’t have a speaking role. I’ve managed 2 interns now. By week 3-4, I might not tag along to every client meeting. I have always brought them to SteerCo and am 50% on creating speaking roles for them there.
During my internship, I was on 3 different clients and traveled to their locations. I was allowed to participate in meetings and contribute. One of the reasons why I joined PwC 3 years ago; great internship experience
Undergrad or mba?
They get to be a fly on the wall during client calls.
Definitely going to vary. I got put on a project where they all travelled weekly to the client but I couldn’t due to “travel budget issues.” So yeah, great experience...
Bingo BCG1, previous experience and firm, was just a personal example from my career
